How we were able to make a big difference this Easter

The children’s charity Blameless is delighted to announce that during this year’s Easter period we were able to purchase 700 Easter eggs to give to children and families suffering in the shadow of addiction.

We also received donations of Easter eggs from Audrey Beliajaflah, TTT Gyms and Spectrum Properties, these allowed us to help more children than ever before.

A further donation of jackets from Primark and self-care packages from former Blameless volunteer Garry King, working for the charity Go Together which is based in Wishaw were also received. These are currently in the final stages of being distributed.

We would like to take the time to thank all of the individuals involved in these donations. These people have allowed us to continue to help those suffering in the shadow of addiction.

Now our focus has turned to planning and preparing to host a variety of events during this summer period. In our preparation we received a donation over £2,500 from Audrey Beliajaflah who hosted a zoom fundraiser earlier this year. We also received a £660 donation from TTT Gyms.

We are pleased to announce this money will be used to provide exciting trips for families of those suffering in the shadow of addiction. Everyone here at Blameless would like to thank all of those who have worked tirelessly to enable us to help those suffering in the shadow of addiction.

Our Trustee Colin McGowan said: “We would like to give a big thank you to Bill at Spectrum Properties, Audrey, and all the fantastic people at TTT all of these people have been unbelievable supporters of ourselves and the work we do. These donations have helped us put a smile on a lot of people’s faces and we will never be able to thank everyone enough for doing that.

“These last 12 months have been difficult but now as lockdown restrictions ease, we look forward to what will be a fantastic summer for everyone involved with our charity.”

Details of our summer activities will be released in due course.
